Agree with you we should aim to deny our sweet tooth and use other flavourings wherever possible. However I have friends who are not convinced by low carb eating and on occasions I like to make food that is both palatable to them without being too unhealthy, e.g. some of the recipes in Ivor and Jeffry’s book (which we recommend to all who will listen!) that suggest “low carb sweetener of your choice”. From your review it seems that both Allulose and Isomaltose are options, possibly combined with a little Stevia. For me it’s a question of how little I can use in a recipe without my friends reaching for the honeypot!! Best wishes, Rachel
