Comment on Metabolic Duo 22nd Aug REPLAY – with Prof Thomas Seyfried ! by Aidan Waine https://metabolicduo.com/metabolic-duo-22nd-aug-replay-with-prof-thomas-seyfried/#comment-388 Wed, 28 Aug 2024 16:57:35 +0000 https://metabolicduo.com/?p=336#comment-388 In reply to William Hare.

Fascinating session, thanks!

Whatever the aetiology, Paul Jaminet’s new drug from Angiex–currently starting clinical trials–promises to target all solid tumors with unparalleled off-target low toxicity and may be a great complement to Prof Seyfried’s approach.

Comment on Metabolic Duo 22nd Aug REPLAY – with Prof Thomas Seyfried ! by Claudia Wilkinson https://metabolicduo.com/metabolic-duo-22nd-aug-replay-with-prof-thomas-seyfried/#comment-387 Mon, 26 Aug 2024 10:32:41 +0000 https://metabolicduo.com/?p=336#comment-387 It would be really great if someone could do a DrBeen style (Dr Mobeen Syed on YouTube, great medical educator with skill at drawing out the mechanisms and excellent teacher) style series of lectures explaining his theory with diagrams from the first principles, including the experiments about transferring nuclei from cancer cells to normal cells and vice versa. This is too complicated to verbally explain to my friends with cancer. I would happily pay in the same way you pay for a book. DrBeen has, in the last few years, come around more to our way of thinking and may already have done something like this in his lecture series and Paul Marik has recently discovered the metabolic theory and mentions it in his book, Cancer Care which is mainly a compendium of useful information on repurposed drugs.
Here is a link to a Dhru Purohit podcast he did with the Hippocrates Research Foundation who are a small group of doctors who help patients interpret Thomas Seyfried’s work for their own cancers.

Read Dr. Seyfried’s textbook twice when it first came out. Can you imagine if “all hands on deck” were put towards researching Metabolic cancer therapy aggressively? Thanks for doing interview. Bill

Comment on MET DUO AUG 8TH: Male or Female Strength – Scientifically? An Olympian Question! by Ivor https://metabolicduo.com/met-duo-aug-8th-male-or-female-strength-scientifically-an-olympian-question/#comment-384 Tue, 13 Aug 2024 13:01:07 +0000 https://metabolicduo.com/?p=334#comment-384 00:22:59 Danny De Cock: I have been working in the field of electronic identity cards since 1998 and collaborated with the people from the belgian population register.

in belgium, each citizen has a national numbers which is formatted YYMMDD-nnn-cc where the first are the birth date. the nnn is a sequential counter which is gender dependent: if nnn is odd, the person is male, if nnn is even, the person is female. the cc is a mod 97-checksum.

it turns out that more than 0.5% of the newly registered newborns have undetermined sex at birth. this is encoded in the national number by increasing the MM-value of the number by 12.

so, most children get a number YYMMDDnnncc, and for the ambiguities the number is YY(MM+12)DDnnncc until the sex is fixed (mostly adjusting the external sex characteristics to what is “most likely best” for the child…
00:23:59 Danny De Cock: the percentage of anomalities the administration has to deal with is higher than wat Gabor just said!
00:50:52 Gabor Erdosi: Yes, but that 0.5 % is distributed among many DSDs
00:51:35 Gabor Erdosi: And unfortunately most are LESS, not more competitive
00:54:57 Danny De Cock: I am very happy with this open topic…

Yesterday, I tried to post this information on twitter/x and my account got blocked within a couple of minutes and has been inaccessible to me since…

No journalists seem to be interested in any of this information… Not even to investigate or talk about it
01:03:00 Danny De Cock: suggestion for future meeting topic: cancer as a metabolic disease
01:03:23 Danny De Cock: I have some slides on it
01:03:55 Danny De Cock: as a dietician, I also dealt with a couple of cancer people
01:04:15 Robert Belanger: Someone mentioned having Rhonda Patrick. Also possibly some sleep experts on metabolic health.
01:04:38 Danny De Cock: I communicated with Thomas Seyfried to base my approach on
01:07:01 Danny De Cock: Chris Palmer about depression and schizophrenia
01:07:11 Danny De Cock: or Georgia Ede on similar topics
01:08:19 Robert Belanger: Thanks a lot for the information. Keep up the great work.
01:08:30 Danny De Cock: cu!

Better understand of HbA1c would be interesting. Peter Attia did a recent podcast on why HbA1c is not really the best indicator of average BG. I’d be interested to hear what you guys think about the topic. Thanks☘️

I’ve been intermittent fasting ( 2 meals a day) low carb paleo with dairy for 9yrs. Approx 5 yrs ago my HbA1c was 5.4 & 5%. Most recently it’s 5.7% and I’m miffed!
Things that are different- I no longer skip 3 meals a week ( lockdown depression meant there was no point in living if I didn’t have food!) I’m probably over eating calorie wise and have put on subcutaneous fat. I’ve added X3 Bar weight training programme to my weighted circuits, Zumba, Pilates x 3 & yoga plus dog walking. I’ve added in breakfast of low fat protein approx 3 days a week and taken essential amino acids supplements on those days. I’ve added testosterone HRT in the last 4 months to my oestrogen & progesterone that I’d been on since prior to last blood tests. According to blood tests the dose is way too low and I’m now trying a higher dose but it had no discernible effect. Progesterone dose was doubled a year ago and I think that has made me insulin resistant and hungry and fat – just like when I was pregnant! Would that increase HbA1c despite foods being the same?
So is my HbA1c high because too much protein ( converting to glucose?), too much progesterone making me insulin resistant, or is it that such a low inflammatory diet makes cells live longer so they can accumulate more glycations? Or is it test percentage error rate?
Thanks!
